About

I've always enjoyed getting dirty.  Digging through the soil, camping, or even just walking barefoot through the backyard, splashing through mud puddles.  Naturally, I elected to study science when I began college.  I made my parents proud by gaining a Geology degree... only to turn around and minor in Theatre Arts.

Yep.  I've always been rather erratic and unpredictable.  The only true constant was my love for the environment.

Two Green Boots was created when it suddenly occurred to me that while taking steps to become more environmentally responsible was, of course, a good thing, it wasn't enough.

Yeah... no.

Not even close.

I realized that more people needed to be involved.

Imagine a world in which we all learned from each other's successes and failures.  In this world, we'd all manage to be just a little more green.

Well, something like that, anyway...

The point, though, is that walking the trails toward being more environmentally responsible can't be done alone.  I realized that only by sharing this path can anything truly be accomplished.

You are what is needed.

Sure, one person can make a difference.  But what about two?

Twenty?

A thousand?

Now we're talking.

While a thousand hats made from cracked kitchenware may not be the best idea, there are other things that truly could make a difference.  What if thousands of people avoided some sort of common mistake?  What if fifty people all did the same simple environmentally friendly actions?

That would be awesome.

That's what Two Green Boots strives for, by way of DIY projects, sustainable gardening, and natural discoveries.

  • Do you want to reduce your energy bill?
  • Maybe you want to save money on your groceries, while still eating healthy?
  • Do you want to have fun while doing it?

So do I... so let's do it together.  By walking, and sometimes stumbling, along these trails with each other, we can do good things for both ourselves and the environment.

I'd love to hear your thoughts - even the negative ones - so be sure to leave a comment.  Comments are held for moderation so that nobody has to wade through yucky spam to see what others think, but I'll always post the responses made by flesh and blood readers.

And don't forget to join the conversation on Facebook, where you'll have the opportunity to take part in an even more personal discussion with other readers!
